Karela United Chief Executive Officer, Elleony Amande has lauded his players following his side’s emphatic win over regional brothers, Bibiani GoldStars.
The Aiyinase based club exhibited a gallant display to thrashed GoldStars 3-2 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in round 33 of the Ghana Premier League.
The victory on Sunday has totally boosted Karela chances of escaping relegation.
Speaking after the game, Elleony Amande said he was impressed with the performance of his players during the encounter and he believes the team will escape relegation after the season.
” I am proud of my boys, they gave everything today against a very strong opponent” but we deserved the win and we are also on course to escape relegation” he told the press after the game on Sunday.
The Aiyinase-based club have moved up to 12th position in the league standings with 44 points after 33 games.
The Passioners will travel to Dawu to face already relegated side Kotoku Royals for the last game of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
