Ghanaian defender, James Serwonu has officially ended his 1-year loan at Samartex and expected to rejoin his parent club Accra Hearts of Oak, the club has announced.
The 23-year-old defender joined Samartex on a season long loan from Accra Hearts of Oak and was a key player for the Timber Giants’ maiden topflight campaign.

“We appreciate his invaluable contributions to our team’s success and wish him the best as he continues his career”
Serwonu, in his one-year stint with Samartex, scored two goals, provided two assists, bagged one MVP in 23 appearances.
Domesticsportsgh.com understands that the technical team of the “Timber Lads” led by Annor Walker requested for his services to join the Western Region side on a year loan.
He signed four-year contract with Hearts of Oak before joining Samartex on loan.
