Sekondi High Court dismisses injunction against Western Regional FA

An Sekondi High Court (Human Rights Division) has dismissed the Application for Injunction filed by Sekondi Hasacaas’ self-acclaimed supporter ( Kwamena Thompson) against the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA).

The Association on Monday, June 12, 2023 announced that it has received an interlocutory injuction and therefore has held all plans for the Super Middle League which was originally scheduled for Tuesday June 13, 2023.

Ebenezer Kwamena Thompson successfully filed an interlocutory injuction from the Sekondi High Court on Monday to hold the WRFA from professing with the league.

The known Hasaacas FC fan, Ebenezer Kwamena Thompson claimed there are several illegalities he’s seen ongoing in the league and wants all sorted before progressing with the Middle League.

The applicant failed to meet two of the three legal requirements needed for the grant of an injunction of this nature especially on the balance of convenience.

The Court concluded and has officially dismissed the case filed by Kwamena Thompson on Friday July 14, at the High Court today.

The Regional Football Association will publish the full decision in due course.

The 2022/23 Super middle is expected to resume immediately.
