KODWO ADDAE: Karela United captain open to contract extension

Karela United captain Kwodwo Addae has reportedly opened talks for a contractual extension, your most reliable portal, Domesticsportsgh.com can exclusively report.

The centre-back has been a firm staple for the Passioners since joining from Bibiani GoldStars four seasons ago.

Domesticsportsgh.com understands, Addae has been on the radar of some foreign and local clubs since putting up an impressive display at the heart of defence for Ghana Premier League side Karela United.

The Pride and Passions wants to avoid losing out on another player after players like Umar Bashiru and Mathew Kelvin Andoh walked out after the expiration of their deals.

Karela United have expressed interest in extending Kwodwo Addae’s contract and indeed he and the club are discussing terms of a possible renewal according to Club’s Director of Operations who broke the news to West End Radio.

“Just to put it on record, the club has never put Addae on transfer list and not ready to part ways with him, the report on the story going viral about Karela United axing some players is untrue, he is our captain, and talks is going on for possible renewal” Lawrence Cudjoe Saforo revealed to West End Radio which was monitored by Domesticsportsgh.com.

The Aiyinase-based club are expected to resume preseason training six weeks before the commencement of the Ghana Premier League on September 15.
