Eight District FA Chairmen in the Western Region have reportedly backed and picked forms for Hon.Simon Ehomah to contest for another term as Regional Football President.
Simon Ehomah’s first term as chairman of the association comes to an end in October, with the WRFA set for elections.
Having been in office in the last four years, the various FA chairmen in the region have been impressed with the work of the immigration officer and they believes he needs another four years to transform the region’s football.
According to an insider report monitored by Domesticsportsgh.com indicates that the various heads of district football associations together with some exco members have picked nomination forms at the GFA Secretariat in Accra on Monday, August 7, endorsed it and submitted the forms on same day on behalf of Simon Ehomah.
Meanwhile, it is yet to be known if he will contest unopposed.
However, Bismark Owuso Mensah of Biz Paradise has reportedly made himself available to compete for the position.
The bankroller for Basake Holy Stars was elected as Western Region FA capo in October, 2019 with 41 votes, followed by James Asiedu Kaniyah with 28 votes and Mark Bismark Owusu with 26 votes.
He had 41 votes out of the 101 total votes cast in the election and took over the mantle from Kojo Yankah.
