The aspiring District Football Association chairman, Emmanuel Kwofie (Donzy) has called for a change in the leadership of the Ellembelle Football Association (EFA), insisting a new leader is needed to change the fortunes of football in the area.
According to him, the Muniru Ussher led administration has failed due to the decline in the performance of the various Division two & three clubs and the poor standards of the district colts league.
He added that, it is time to overhaul those at the helm of affairs to allow room for fresh ideas to change the direction of Ellembelle football.
“In my opinion, our industry is coming down and our football is not developing, so I think we need a change, that’s why I have filed nomination to contest”. In facts we need a change because it’s been years now and our football is not developing,” he told Domesticsportsgh.com.
“We are ready to work hard and help build our football” he added.
He also argued that the Muniru Ussher led- administration has not introduced anything positive to transform the fortunes of the game; hence, allowing them to continue to spell doom for the game.
“We need a change in both the chairmanship position and some of the executives because, in the last four years, they have not added anything positive to the game. Everything is declining.
The former Karela United supporters chief is expected to face a stiff competition with the incumbent in the upcoming District Football Elections.
