GPL: Mukwala bags brace as Kotoko beat Hearts of Oak 3-2 in Super clash

Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC grabbed all the points against arch rivals Hearts of Oak in their Match Day 14 of the Ghana Premier at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The Porcupine Warriors scored in the both halves to pick vital away point from their lead to keep their momentum intact.

Linda Mtange scored in the early minutes before Isaac oppong equalized it just 1 minutes before half time.

Ugandan Striker Steven Dese Mukwala made it two for the Porcupines following a horrible save from Hearts goalkeeper, Richmond Ayi in the 56th minute.

Mukwala would then take his goal tally to nine this season after notching a third goal for the Porcupines in the 75th minute to complete his brace.

It ended 3-2 in favour of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, marking their fourth win in four games in the league. The result takes them into 7th on the league log with 22 points.

Next up for the Porcupines is a trip to Sogakope to face the Accra Great Olympics at the WAFA PARK on Boxing Day, December 24, 2023.

Accra Hearts of Oak on the other hand will face Nations FC at the Dr.Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Boing Day as well.
