Ghana Black Stars defender Alexander Djiku is hoping his Black Stars gets a positive result against Egypt when they lock horn on Thursday in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.
The Black Stars were stunned 2-1 by Cape Verde on Sunday in Abidjan.
Following a lackluster start in Group B, the Black Stars defender managed to win Man of the Match after impressive performance on the day for Ghana.
Speaking in an interview after the game, the defender asserted his outfit will do their best as they seek to secure a good result against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
“It’s going to be a tough game because both teams will be yearning for maximum points. we are still preparation to get better results in Kumasi. Psychologically and emotionally, you need to prepare well because playing against Egypt is not an easy game.
“I was in the team during the last AFCON, our elimination in the first round remains the worst memory of my career and I don’t want to relive that.”
