Abubakar Damba takes over Karela as interim coach

Assistant Coach Abubakar Damba has temporary taken charge of Karela United following the departure of head Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko.

Shaibu Tanko resigned from his duties as Karela Coach following poor run of results in the Ghana Premier League.

Karela on Monday accepted the resignation letter of Shaibu Tanko after mutual agreement.

The Passioners have hence tasked his deputy Abubakar Damba to manage the Club until a substantive head Coach is appointed.

Damba will supervise the team for the upcoming FA cup match against Asante Kotoko.

Former Hearts of Oak Coaches Samuel Boadu and CK Akunnor have all been linked to the vacant position at Karela.
