Andre Ayew and Le Havre eliminated from French Cup despite scoring

Racing Strasbourg eliminated Black Stars skipper Andre Dede Ayew’s Le Havre from the French Cup despite Ayew’s team scoring goals.

Twenty-one minutes after Dilane Bakwa gave Alexander Djiku’s former team the lead, the former West Ham forward tied the score for Le Havre in the 30th minute.

Six minutes after the Ghanaian’s goal, the Dutchman Emmanuel Emegha gave the home team the lead again, and Marvin Senaya added to Strasbourg’s lead late in the contest to eliminate Le Havre.

Racing Strasbourg is currently in the 2023–24 French Cup quarterfinals, although they do not yet know who their next opponents will be.
