The organizers of West End Radio Independence Day Soccer Fiesta ( WEISFA CUP) have confirmed that, Eikwe Astro Turf will host the 2024 edition which will be the competition’s 10th anniversary.
A total of 16 teams from 16 communities will participate in the 2024 WEISFA CUP slated for Thursday, February 29 in Eikwe, in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
The one-week event would see the teams grouped into four zones with the winner to go home with huge cash prize and souvenirs.
The WEISFA CUP, is an annual Independence Day Soccer Festival, an initiative of Media giant, West End Radio 100.3, to bring the brand closer to Nzemaman also show appreciation to their cherished listeners and scout talents in the area of football.
The 16 teams are expected to be drawn from Eikwe, Anokyi, Baku, Ngalekpole, Krisan, Bankanta, Esiama, Kikam, Nkroful, Alabokazo, Kambungli, Teleku Bokazo, Asemko, Basake, Azulenoanu, Sanzule, Menzizor, Akoto, Ampain, Asasetre and Aiyinase.
The rest are Awiebo, Atuabo, Akpandue Samenye and many communities.
Teleku Bokazo is the defending champion of the WEISFA CUP.
