Africa News: Al Ahly targets South Africa midfielder

According to Egyptian newspaper El Watan, record champions league winners Al Ahly are seriously interested in signing Bafana Bafana star Teboho Mokoena.

The Mamelodi Sundown’s midfielder was one of the best performers at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, as he helped Bafana Bafana finish third in the competition.

Mokoena is of great interest to the Egyptian giants, Al Ahly, who have sent scouts to monitor his progress in various.

The 27-year-old is a typical all-round midfielder with both attacking and defensive prowess, and he is also believed to have won admirers from clubs in England and France.

Al Ahly, meanwhile, would be facing Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC on Friday night.
