The General Manager of Samartex 1996 Edmund Ackah says the club cannot afford to drop any points against their regional rivals Bibiani Gold Stars in the match week 32 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Samreboi based club are leading the summit with 55 points and 6 clear points ahead of second placed Aduana Stars after 31 games.
However, the team has dubbed the game to be an important game for the Timber Giants as a win will get them closer to the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title for the first time.
Despite, their defeat in the hands of Hearts of Lions, Edmund Ackah insists the club is optimistic of beating Gold Stars and has asked fans of the club to throng to the Nsienkyire Sports Stadium to give them massive support.
“The preparations for the Gold Stars game start from today, all must come together “It is a game we cannot afford to drop points”, he stated in an interview with GreenGold FM.
Samartex are currently first on the table with 55 points and are on the verge of winning their first ever league title with just three games left to play.
