Nzema Kotoko captain David Cobbinah is confident his side will escape relegation in the ongoing 2023/24 Division One League Zone Two season.
His assurance comes in the wake of a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Venomous Vipers at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon, during the 29 Matchday.
Despite the triumph, the Nzema based club club find themselves positioned 14th on the league standings, amassing 32 points thus far.
Following the gritty win against Vipers, the seasoned coach expressed optimism about the prospects of his teammates avoiding relegation.
In an interview with West End Radio, he said, “Yes, there is a way for us to get out of the relegation zone.
“This is what we are fighting for, that’s why I’m very, very happy that we collected these three maximum points here in Ampain,” he added.
Nzema Kotoko is set to face King Faisal in the last match of the season at the Ejisu Okese Park in Kumasi.
