The Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Western Region, Francis Ndede Siah has revealed that, the Jomoro municipality will soon have FIFA standard pitch before the end of the year.
According to Fifa, although regulation football pitches can vary significantly in size, the world’s governing body recommends that senior pitches should measure 110 yards (100.6m) 8 X 70 yards (64m).
The kind hearted politician disclosed in an interview with the media after his club Zico Professionals victory against LB Sporting Club.
” Zico Professionals is well determined to qualify for the Division One League, we won’t have any problem with the pitch, because we are working on it and by close of September or October, Jomoro will have a standardized pitch” So what we need is the qualification and nothing more”.
“It will be hosting both Division One, other lower division games as well as state functions”, he said.
The bankroller of the club also charged the players to fight hard and bring home the ultimate.
” I admonished the playing body to go all out and fight for the ultimate because we will soon have a standardized pitch in Jomoro”, he said.
