The owner and president of the Division Two side, Zico Professionals, Mr. Francis Ndede Siah, has “desperately” taken a bold decision to buy Division One club.
The reported decision was made after a cold incident with the Western Regional Football Association on Sunday.
The Tikobo 1 based club reportedly declared losers in their semi finals clash with Nsuopong Fidelity for fielding an unqualified player in the person of Charles Didier Nyarko.
The Wassa Amenfi club filed a protest against Zico Professionals immediately after the match challenging them for using unqualified player.
However, after 2-hours sitting, the Disciplinary Committee of the Western Regional Football Association published the verdict out to punish Francis Ndede Siah’s club for bleaching the rules of the game regarding the ‘Player Registration’ system according to Article (30) (a-c) of the competition’s rules.
The unexpected and late decision by the DC led the suspension of the final match between Eleven Wise and Nsuopong Fidelity.
