“The money will be released soon to finish the projects,” NYA boss on stalled Axim Sports complex

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Pius Enam Hadzide has revealed that the government will soon release some funds to complete the various Sports complexes including Axim Sports complex.

This comes after last week’s demonstration by the Youth of the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Municipality.

The Youth Parliament of the area demonstrated against the government over the stalled Axim Sports complex which is just 90% complete.

However, the CEO of the National Youth Authority in an exclusive interview with Accra based Happy FM has assured Ghanaians including the youth of Axim, Dormaa and Kumasi that they are now getting a breakthrough because the money will be released and they will finish all the projects before December.

“I can only say that, we are getting a breakthrough because the money will be released and we will finish the project”, he told Happy FM.

Only 1 out of the 10 multi-purpose Sports complexes that were started in 2018 under the current government had been completed with the others currently being left to rot despite investing over $4 million into the project.
