Medeama will return to training at the newly reconstructed T&A Stadium on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 before taking on Hearts of Oak on August 16 for the grand opening, marking their first session at the modern 10,400-capacity facility in five years.
The Mauve and Yellow are gearing up for their first practice ahead of the grand reopening of the state-of-the-art stadium scheduled for Friday, August 16.
As part of the festivities, the former Ghana Premier League champions will face an unnamed opponent, drawing the attention of top Ghanaian football figures and government officials, including Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Having submitted T&A Stadium as their venue for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season, Medeama aims to settle into their new home after playing away since 2019.
Previously based at Akoon Community Park, the club now shifts to the Gold Fields-funded stadium boasting modern amenities and a high-quality pitch.
While Akoon Park remains their backup venue, Medeama plans to conduct their training sessions at Umat Park moving forward.
