Algeria produced a commanding 5-1 win over Togo in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Algiers on Thursday.

The visitors took an early lead through Thibault Klidje in the 11th minute before Said Benrahma scored in the first half and ten minutes into the second half to give Algeria the lead.
Houssem Aouar and Amine Gouiri extended the hosts lead in the 68th and 86th minutes before Mohammed Amoura’s late goal stretched Algeria’s lead at the top.

Botswana secured a vital 1-0 away victory against Cape Verde in their Group C qualifier on Thursday, thanks to an early goal by Tumisang Orebonye.
DR Congo maintained their perfect record in Group H with a narrow 1-0 victory over Tanzania at Stade des Martyrs, thanks to a second-half own goal by Clement Mzize.

Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign stuttered again as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Sudan at Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.
