West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui has described the return of Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus as “good news” for the team.

Lopetegui said this in his pre-game interview ahead of West Ham’s English premier League tie against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Kudus is set to return to action after serving a five game suspension; he was shown a straight red card against Tottenham Hotspurs attracting a three game suspension and got hit with a further two game ban for violent conduct in the red card incident.

“Let’s see what’s going to happen with [Mohammed Kudus]. We’re not going to talk about the line-up. It’s true that he’s now available after being out for a long time, too. He’s ready, working well and happy to be back, which is good news for us because we have a lot of upcoming matches in a row, and it’s a good thing we have as many options as possible for these games.”
