The former Energy Minister, Hon.Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has been elected as the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle in the Western Region for a record fifth time.
Hon.Armah Kofi Buah secured a decisive victory in the December 7 Parliamentary election. He garnered 31,987 votes out of 68,000 total valid votes, defeating the NPP Parliamentary Candidate Hon.Kwasi Bonzoh ( 18,454) for a record 5th time in a row.
The victory marks Hon.Armah Kofi Buah’s 5th term into Parliament.
Hon.Armah Kofi Buah celebrated his victory with street jubilations and took to social media to thank the electorates for the record victory.
His triumph is attributed to widespread dissatisfaction among the youth, who criticized the lack of development projects in the constituency under the NPP government since 2016.
The youth also voted massively for the former Energy Minister following the announcement of his intention to establish a sports complex in Ellembelle under the new NDC government.
