The immediate past General Manager of Nsoatreman FC, the defending MTN FA Cup champions, Eric Alagidede, has expressed keen interest in joining the Glorious Hearts of Oak.
Eric Alagidede resigned on Monday, December 16, 2024, stating personal reasons for leaving Nsoatreman, a club he had served faithfully since July 2023.
Contrary to reports of financial strains at the club being the reason for departure, Alagidede, in an interview on Max FM, revealed the club faces no issue with its finances despite the defeat of owner, Hon. Ignatius Baffuor Awuah, in the recently ended parliamentary elections.
Asked if he would be interested in joining Hearts of Oak, Alagidede, who spearheaded the most successful era in the history of Nsoatreman, responded positively.
“If I get the opportunity to work for any of the bigger brands, why will I turn it down?… Any team that approaches me, we will look at it, and then we will pick it up from there,” he said.
Alagidede has carved a niche for himself in sports administration after selflessly working for Karela United, where he revealed he was never on payroll, before moving to Nsoatreman, helping them to their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup qualifications stage.
