The owner and bankroller of Kumasi based King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Gruzah, has urged the government of Ghana to initiate a leadership change at the Ghana Football Association ( GFA) in light of the current struggles of Ghanaian football.
The astute football administrator’s remarks encho the growing dissatisfaction among fans and stakeholders who have criticized the GFA’s administration for the declining standards of the sport in the country.
In an interview earlier, Gruzah voiced his frustration over the Black Stars poor after failing to qualify for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco this year.
Ghana finished bottom of the group that included Angola, Sudan, Niger and ultimately missing out on the tournament.
“How can Ghana end up at the bottom of a group with Niger, Sudan and Angola? This is simply not acceptable”, Gruzah said in an interview with Asempa FM.
If the government is serious about improving football in Ghana, they must dismiss Kurt Okraku and the entire GFA. FIFA cannot penalize us by moving them from power, We must be honest with ourselves”, he added.
