Justice Blay: Asante Kotoko midfielder pleads with fans to improve support

Asante Kotoko midfielder, Justice Blay, has urged the club’s supporters to fill the stands and rally behind the team as the second half of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League kicks off.

With attendance at matches being notably low particularly in the first half of the campaign, Blay expressed concern over the lack of fans support, which he believes plays a crucial role in motivating players.

Reflecting on the atmosphere during the first part of the season, the deputy captain shared his disappointment:

“It’s depressing to play without the fans, I still remember when I first joined the club and was amazed by the energy in the tunnel, But things have changed now”.

He appealed to the supporters saying, “I urge the fans to come to the stadium and cheer us on”.

Kotoko defeated Vision FC 4-1 to conclude their first round games with 9 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats.

Kotoko host Karela United on Sunday to kick off the second round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
