Basake Holy Stars head coach Abdul Gazale has expressed disappointment over the team’s wastefulness in their stalemate against Kpando Hearts of Lions in the Ghana Premier League clash in Ampain.
The Basake based club had the opportunity to win the day but Prince Tweneboah’s spot kick was saved by Lions goalkeeper Lawrence Osei who had a brilliant game.
Despite being the favourites, Basake Holy Stars struggled to create chances against a determined Hearts of Lions side.
Abdul Gazale acknowledged the team decent performance in the first half but expressed disappointment in their inability to covert chances into goals.
Gazale emphasised the need to work on finishing and bounce back stronger in the upcoming matches.
” I am disappointed in myself, disappointed the way the players played and i am also disappointed in the way we handled the game, nothing shows we should have drawn this match, all what I supposed to do as a coach, technical and tactically I have done it, Gazale told the media after the game.
Holy Stars are 12th on the league log with 37 points after 31 games.
