Swedru All Blacks Football Club striker Rudolf Mensah has confessed that his target was to score over 30 goals this season.
In a post-game interview after All Blacks’ emphatic 3-0 win over New Edubiase United to seal Swedru’s return to the Ghana Premier League from the Access Bank Division One Zone Two, Mensah made the revelation.
All Blacks return to the Ghanaian top flight after 16 years and Mensah pointed to the club’s qualification as something that was destined and added that his 24 goal output in 25 league games with just a game left to be played fell short of his expectation of scoring at least 30 goals.
“By the grace of God, I have 24 goals and I am leading the goal king chart.
Personally, my target was to score 30 and over but I think sometimes you win some, you lose some, sometimes you miss certain chances. We are still on course, it’s left with one game, let’s see what God will give to us” Mensah
