Nzema Kotoko rubbish reports of buying Ebony FC, calls for collective responsibility

Reports emerged on Wednesday indicate that, the Life Patron of the club has made an enquiries to buy a dvision One club following the club’s demotion to the lower division.

The earlier reports suggested that, the leaders of the Ampain based club have began negotiations with Ebony FC, a newly promoted National Division One League side for a possible takeover.

The reported takeover comes after Nzema Kotoko were confirmed relegated to the Division Two after matchweek 29.

However, In an exclusively engagement with the interim head of the club, Nana Kwamina Bentum denied such move by the club.

” We haven’t decided yet, we have some games to play, We (nananom) will have a dialogue after the season to see the way forward, We will need all of you on board, especially the media to push the agenda, but for now nothing has been decided whether we are buying a club or doing that, but we will have a stakeholders meeting after the season with the Chiefs and all relevant stakeholders for better agenda”, he said.

” Nzema Kotoko should not go down like that, We all need to come on-board and build a better Nzema kotoko, because it is our pride and we need collective reponsibility to achieve that , He added.

Nzema Kotoko will climax their 2024/25 Division One League campaign with a home match against Skyy Fc on Saturday at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli Sports Arena.

Nana Kwamena Bentum is the Chief of Salman under the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
