Former Samartex midfielder Emmnauel Keyekeh has claimed that Tanzanian Premier Division offers higher level of competition than the Ghana Premier League.
Keyekeh made this assertion during an interview with the local media following the completion of the 2024/25 Tanzanian top-flight football.
Having playing several tops clubs in Ghana, including Karela United and Asante Kotoko, the former Black Galaxies midfield dynamo praised the competitive nature of the Ghana Premier League but revealed that Tanzanian Premier League is more lucrative and has more quality looking at their clubs involvement in the Caf Inter clubs competition.
He noted the teams in the country’s top-flight football enjoy strong financial backing as compared to Ghana Premier League.
” What I can say is that the Tanzanian Premier League is more competitive and lucrative, they have good facilities ( field or pitch) and their professionalism is unmatched and the players are so well respected”,he said.
The 27-year old who plays for Singida Black Stars has been granted Tanzanian citizenship less than a year after moving to the East African country.
