Hearts of Oak appoint Didi Dramani as Head Coach

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club have appointed Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as head coach effectively ending Ivorian Aboubakar Ouattara’s run with the club as head coach.

In a statement released on Friday, June 20, the club announced that the well-traveled coach will take up the role on a two year deal.

His appointment comes on the back of Hearts finishing fourth in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League (GPL); Bibiani Gold Stars won the league title for the first time.

Despite having a brilliant finish to close out the season by bagging four wins in a row, the Phobians largely disappointed in the campaign and got eliminated in the MTN FA Cup by lower tier side Golden Kick.

Dramani takes up his latest head coaching role in the GPL after serving as head coach of Hearts’ arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko and winning the league title twice.

On the national level, Dramani led Ghana’s Under 17 Women’s Football Team to finish third at the 2012 FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup.

He served as an assistant coach for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, during Ghana’s run at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
