Former Yapei FC striker Abedi Karim is on the brink of joining Ghana Premier League side Karela United after successfully completing his medical examination, according to reports.
The 28- year old forward is set to reinforce Karela’s attacking options during the ongoing transfer window.
Abedi gained prominence in the National Division One League last season, where he netted an impressive 17 goals and provided 5 assists for his side Yapei FC.
His consistent performances made him a target for several clubs including Young Apostles, Real Tamale United and Techiman Eleven Wonders.
The former Berekum Chelsea star is expected to sign a contract with Karela United and will likely be unveiled soon.
His addition is seen as a significant boost for the team as they look to strengthen their squad and improve their league campaign.
He is expected to become the club’s first major acquisition in the transfer window.
