Covid-19 Uodates: Former Hearts of Oak captain Jacob Nettey urges police to arrest people with no masks
Former Black Meteors and Hearts of Oak skipper Jacob Nettey has urged Ghana police to arrest people who flout the coronavirus safety protocols by not wearing face masks.
Nettey condemned the way some Ghanaians are blatantly flouting the safety protocols put in place by President Akufo-Addo.
Ghana’s coronavirus cases goes up by 281 to 5,480 with 492 recoveries and 22 deaths.
“The level of indiscipline in Accra regarding the wearing of masks is alarming. People behave as if there is nothing at stake. I think the police should arrest people who go town with no masks,” he said on GTV Sports Plus in Accra.
Under his tenure, Hearts of Oak extended their unprecedented local dominance to the continent, winning the CAF Champions League, the maiden CAF Confederations Cup and the CAF Super Cup.
