King Faisal Bankroller Alhaji Gruzah insists Club not for sale
King Faisal owner Alhaji Gruzah will not put his Club up for sale contrary to reports linking ex-Ghana International Samuel Osei Kuffour as the imminent new proprietor of the Club.
Kuffour was said to have agreed to take possession of the Ghana Premier League side, a Club he played in Ghana before leaving for Germany.
King Faisal over the years have faced lots of financial difficulties which has also cost them their Premier League status along the line.
The Kumasi-based Club would only rely on Congress decision to be reinstated back to Ghana’s elite division prior to the start of the 2019/20 season.
With the constant financial problems faced by the Club, it was reported Gruzah was planning to put his asset on auction, a claim the football administrator has denied insisting he is only open for a partnership.
“My Club is not for sale, if you are an investor and you want to run a Club, why can’t you go and build your Club from the second Division or third Division up to the Premier Division,” he said in an interview with TV3.
“I only need Patners to invest with me but not to sell my club ” he added
King Faisal before the suspension of the League were struggling at relegation as they occupied the bottom spot with just 6points after 15 games .
Cancelling the season will be to their advantage of avoiding demotion from the Ghana Premier League.
