To Cancel or Continue: Nzema Kotoko Speedster Ali Muftawu gives his view on future of 2019-20 Ghana football season.

Football activities in the country have been halted due to the CoronaVirus pandemic. The Ghana FA put the season on hold as part of government’s directive to ban all forms of social gatherings to curtail the spread of Covid-19 which has claimed 34 lives and over 7,000 reported cases since March.

Pressure has been mounting on the GFA to take a permanent decision as regards the fate of the 2019-20 season as clubs, players and other stakeholders are left guessing what happens next.

With the GFA expected to take a firm decision on June 30, opinions have been pouring in to suggest the best decision to take as far as the future of Ghana football is concerned.

In the view of Ali Muftawu the sensational Nzema Kotoko star said ; it’s only in the best interest of Ghana football,and he believes with good measures we can continue the season.

In an interview with Samuel Enyan on Nzema based West End Radio ” the 22 year old said;

“He is of the view that the league should be allowed to continue on a condition that Ghana FA can made enough provisions to ensure the safety of playing body and other stakeholders.
“am ever ready to return to the field” but we can’t return in the expense of our health ” he told West End Radio.

” I will love to play Again , Because we want to make history with Nzema Kotoko ” he added.

Ali Muftawu made 13 appearances for Atwe Nzema Kotoko , scored 3 goals and made 3 assists before the break.
