Patricia Martey pleads with government to pay Black Queens
Black Queens goalkeeper, Patricia Martey has called on the government to settle unpaid bonuses to the black Queens after their Africa Women’s Championship tournament in Cameroon.
Queens who finished as third place teamb are yet to receive allowances and bonuses since 2016.
According to Martey, each member of the 2016 Black Queens squad is expected to take $12,000 out of 3games won at the tournament.
Speaking on West End Radio “Hard Tackle Sports ” on Monday with Samuel Enyan,she pleaded to the authorities in charge to come to aid.
“we are pleading that everything that is due to us, we are pleading with them; though it is our money we plead that they will give it to us. That is what we depend on to feed our families. So we are pleading but it doesn’t stop us from dying for the nation.” he told West End Radio.
Ghana finished third in the competition which was held in Cameroon in 2016.
