Captan to supervise WBO fight in Tokyo
The World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Asia Pacific and Africa Board Chairman, Samir Captan, says he is ready to ensure that all precautionary measures are adhered to when he supervises the Giemel Magramo and Junto Nakatani vacant flyweight championship bout on July 4, 2020 in Tokyo.
Mr Captan told the Daily Graphic that he was glad that clearance had been given for the bout to take place to offer fighters the opportunity to return to the ring.
“It falls within my jurisdiction so I am ready to ensure all precautionary measures are met before the bout takes place. This is something we are really taking seriously because it puts everyone’s life in danger if it is not adhered to,” he said.
