Young African’s coach describes supporters as dogs and monkeys
Tanzanian top flight side Young Africans SC have cancelled the contract of head coach Luc Eymael with immediate effect for racist remarks on the club’s supporters last week.
The Belgian gaffer after what it seemed as a disappointing season has described the fans of the club as dogs and monkeys who do not know anything about football on Saturday during an interview.
“I don’t enjoy your country (Tanzania) You are uneducated people. I am disgusted. I don’t have a car, WiFi or DSTV,” he said.
“These fans don’t know anything about football. They are like monkeys or dogs when they are shouting.”
The Tanzania top flight ended on Sunday with Young Africans finishing second on the standings behind sworn rivals Simba SC who have won the championship for a third consecutive season.
He has coached 13 clubs since 2010 and has had unending issues with the fans of all these clubs.
Rayon Sport FC in Rwanda, AFC Leopards in Kenya, El Merreikh of Sudan and South African sides Polokwane City, Free State Stars and Black Leopards.
