“GPL players should be paid well to avoid Exodus trade”- Akwasi Donsu
Medeama Sporting club Midfielder AKwasi Donsu, has adviced Ghana Premier league clubs to lay out salary structure which will help curb the rampant player Exodus in the league.
In a recent report released by CIES, Ghana is the second exporter of footballers in Africa which supports the fact the local players move out for greener pastures due to the low wages in the country.
“It will be prudent for premier league players to recieve a minimum salary of $1000 to curb player Exodus ” he told Koforidua based Bryt FM.
He further stated that if local players receive better salaries they wouldn’t bother themselves to travel to seek for greener pastures.
“Players travels outside because of money, it’s worrying to see local players traveling outside to join club that are below standards, which our league is rated far better than them” he added.
