“Opeele ”Boateng backs Mahama’s Ghc 1,500 Payment plan for GPL players
Coach Isaac “Opeele”Boateng, has added his voice to the promise made by the Ghana Ex President John Dramani Mahama on Ghana Premier league players.
According to the former President, Ghana premier league players will be paid not less than Ghc 1,500 should his party gain power in this year’s election.
Footballers in the country receives as low as Ghc250.00 as their monthly salaries from some premier league teams which seems very sad and hectic in the football fraternity according to him.
However, the former Asante Kotoko coach Isaac Opeele has used his twitter account handle to back the ex president for his promises, assurances, and kind gesture on Ghana premier league players.
#Opeele Boateng’s tweet#
“Footballers will sacrifice their education for an uncertain future hoped for. Most players in Gh premier earns below $100 a month with some owed months.
“So even if it is the ‘DEVIL’ that has come to promise GH1,500 don’t condemn cos of politics. At least the Devil has tot of them”
President Mahama will lead the National Democratic Congress in December 7 elections in a fierce contest against the Nana Addo’s NPP government.
