AYA OPEN 2020: Kamgbunli Islamicans Spikers wins maiden Volleyball Competition.
The Islamicans Spikers of Kambungli, a community in the Ellembelle district of the Western Region have won the maiden edition of Aya Open 2020 games.
The two days event which main objectives was to promote Volleyball and competition started on Monday and ended today(Tuesday) with 12 teams around Ellembelle.
The Spikers defeated Intellectuals from Esiama 2:1 before setting up a semi finals clash with Young Madrid from Anokyi. The Spikers trashed their opponent on two sets 25:18 and 25:16 to qualify for the finals.
The final which lasted over 1 hours 43 mins saw the Spikers defeated fans favourite West End Radio in two straight wins on Tuesday evening at the Aya community recreational volleyball court.
Spikers were presented a trophy, full set of Jersey, a volleyball and a cash prize whiles the Second place took a cash prize and ball. Third place team Young Madrid also got consolation prize from the organizers.
