COVID-19 effect: Maxwell Konadu describes his players as “rusty “after first training.
Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu has observed that his players are rusty on their return to training after the long break due to the pandemic.
Kotoko trained for the first time in more than six months as football in the country was banned due to the Corona virus outbreak.
Their first training session was held on Wednesday ahead of their preparations for new season which gets underway in November.
“ Our return to training was good but we realized players have rusted a lot so we have to pick up slowly but we will need to work harder”
Kotoko will be also competing in three competitions this season, including the CAF Champions League as Ghana’s sole representative.
