First phase of Axim Sports Complex to be completed- Hon.Catherine Afeku
The Member of Parliament of Evalue-Ajomoro Gwira and also a minister of State for the current government of Ghana,Hon Catherine Abelemah Afeku has stated that the first phase of the Axim Sports Complex will be completed in October ending, in the first phase she stated it has a lot of facilities to be used.
She said the five thousand seater capacity stadium is a FIFA standard pitch and because of this she’s fighting for a team to use the venue as a home ground because she has passion for sports.
In an interview with Ankobra FM Sports host, Sampson K. Obeng, she said there are some teams in the Western Region that are pushing to use the venue as their home ground.
The honourable MP also said the second phase will have car parks, some notable and vital facilities needed at a stadium which includes a commentary box.
She also talked about the economic benefits it will bring to the land and the people.
