TENNIS: Acquah, Ibrahim wins McDan tennis championship
National tennis players, Johnson Acquah and Mariama Ibrahim, clinched the respective men’s and women’s McDan Foundation Training Matches titles after producing dominant displays last Saturday at the Accra Stadium.
Acquah defeated Benjamin Fumi 6-1, 6-4, while Mariama beat Shika McKorley 6-3, 6-3 in sweltering conditions on centre court.
The winners received trophies, a GH¢ 1,000 cash prize and products and souvenirs from the tournament sponsors with the runners-up receiving trophies and undisclosed cash prizes.
