Our main target is to escape relegation- Omar Bashiru of Karela
Karela United midfielder Umar Bashiru says the team shouldn’t be considered as 2020/21 Ghana Premier winners as their target is to maintain their status in the league after the season.
The Aiyinase-based outfit is currently on the top of the league with 11 points recording three wins and two draws after matchday five in the ongoing season (W3 D2 L0)
The Passioners defeated King Faisal by 2-0 in their match day five game at the fortress Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park to see them on top of the league for the 3rd consecutive weeks.
“So this season we’re trying to improve and to remain in the league,”that’s our target” Bashiru told StarTimes Sports.
Karela United travel away to play Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabor Park In week six of the Ghana Premier League.
