Hearts release shock Papic statement
Kostadin Papic has parted ways with Hearts of Oak after just 79 days in charge of the Ghana Premier League giants.
Papic returned to the 20-time league champions in December for a second stint in charge but has lasted less than three months at the helm.
Last week Papic called on for the need of reinforcements to the squad as they fell outside the top 10 in the league and with rumours brewing that he’s received offers in South African and Tanzania – Papic has tendered his resignation.
The Serbian departs with goalkeeper coach Ben Owu with the club stating ‘results have not met expectations’ resulting in a need for ‘new technical leadership’.
“My reasons are partly personal,” Papic said in part of his official resignation letter, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
U-15 head coach Samuel Nii Noi has been placed as interim head coach until the club finds a successor to the experienced tactician.
