Kotoko 5-1 Gold Coast Academy – Fabio Gama, Sarfo Taylor, others on the scoresheet
Midfielder Fabio Gama and striker Solomon Sarfo Taylor scored for Asante Kotoko on Wednesday morning when the team thumped Gold Coast Academy 5-1 in a friendly match.
The Porcupine Warriors have taken advantage of the mid-season break to play friendly matches to get players in shape.
Today, a similar exercise was staged at the Adako Jachie training ground when the Reds invited lower-tier outfit Gold Coast Academy.
Dominating play in the first half, a Naby Keita equalizer plus a striker from young striker Evans Adomako ensured that the team went into the break with a two-goal advantage.
Later in the second half, Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama found the back of the net with the opponent netting a consolation.
In the final minutes of the game, new signings Andy Kumi and Sarfo Taylor also scored to wrap up a big 5-1 win for Asante Kotoko against Gold Coast Academy.
