WORLD NEWS: Ronaldo apologises for ‘horrible’ haircut
Ronaldo Nazario Da Lima has sent out an apology to mothers all around the world for his ‘horrible’ haircut at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
The Brazilian striker showed up the tournament in South Korea and Japan with a surprising hairstyle that only had hair on the front of his head.
Despite the crazy hairstyle, Ronaldo played a starring after netting eight goals, including two in the final, as Selecao claimed their fifth World Cup title.
While the tournament went perfect, Ronaldo has now apologised for all the children who copied the haircut 19 years ago.
“It was horrible!” Ronaldo told Sports Illustrated.
“I apologise to all the mothers who saw their children get the same haircut.
“The journalists forgot about the injury.
“I saw my teammates and I asked them, ‘Do you like it?’ And they said, ‘No, it’s horrible! Cut this off’. But the journalists saw my haircut and forgot about the injury.”
