AshantiGold goalkeeper Kofi Mensah’s splendid ‘penalty save’ from Victor Kofi Aidoo in AshantiGold win at Hearts of Oak means he has set a new Premier League record.
Kofi Mensah became the first goalkeeper in Ghana Premier League history to save two consecutive penalties with two different top flight players after starring in AshantiGold’s 1-0 win against Hearts of Oak on Saturday.
Kofi Mensah denied Victor Aidoo from 12-yards as the visitors recorded their first defeat in three games under Samuel Boadu.
The previous occasion Kofi Mensah saved Diawusie Taylor spot-kick In last week clash against Karela United.
He is currently holding the record of most consecutive penalties saves in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
