SAD NEWS: Karela United Captain Godfred Yeboah loses dad
Karela Captain and Ghana defender Godfred Yeboah Agyemang has been dealt a huge blow with the news of the death of his father hitting the headlines.
Domesticsportsgh.com can confirm that Mr. Stephen Yeboah Agyeman, 68, passed-away, on Friday after a short illness.
Mr Agyeman died at the family house in Begoro, Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
“ Initially he was with us in ( Accra) and later referred to koforidua for local herbs unfortunately they called me yesterday that he has passed away” Godfred Yeboah told Domesticsportsgh.com.
Godfred Yeboah has been in impressive form for Aiyinase-based side Karela United in the ongoing Ghana Premier League Season registering 2 assists in 12 games.
His explosive start to the campaign has earned him two Team of the Week slots.
Godfred Yeboah Agyemang is regarded as a legend of Karela United where he won virtually every trophy with the passionate side during their record breaking season in 2017.
He will not be available for Karela United in their Ghana Premier League matchday 20 clash against Dreams FC following the death of his father.
