Thomas Partey, Tariq Ofosu join Black Stars camp ahead of Ivory Coast friendly
Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, CK Akonnor has welcomed two players to the camp of the team ahead of a friendly game against Ivory Coast, the Ghana FA has announced.
The duo are Thomas Partey and Tariq Fosu who couldn’t travel with the Black Stats to Rabat for the Morocco friendly game on Tuesday.
Partey couldn’t travel with the team to Rabat due to some personal issues and was granted permission to excuse the team for the trip.
On Tariq Fosu, he reported to camp on Friday evening, after the sides training session in Cape Coast where coach CK Akonnor engaged him briefly and told him that reporting late has scuppered his chances of travelling with the team to Morocco.
The Black Stars have returned from Rabat after losing 1-0 to the Atlas Lions of Morocco and have started preparations for the Ivory Coast friendly.
Both Partey and Fosu were able to train with the entire Black Stars squad in Cape Coast on Wednesday ahead of the Ivory Coast friendly encounter.
The duo would be available for selection when Ghana host Ivory Coast at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on June 12, 2021.
