Raja Casablanca have been crowned CAF Confederation Cup champions for a second time with a 2-1 victory over JS Kabylie on Saturday evening.
There was South African presence in the final as Victor Gomes was in charge of the encounter from the middle of the park while Zakhele Thusi was one of the assistant referees.
The clash got off to a lively start, with Raja getting the breakthrough as early as the fifth minute through Soufiane Rahimi’s fourth goal of the campaign.
The lead was doubled not too long after as Ben Malango took his tally three goals on the continent with an impressive finish 14 minutes into the tie to leave the Algerian shocked.
